HOW WE SPEND THE SUMMER AT PROFILE?

The past summer has been a pleasant break from everyday life and an opportunity to enjoy the warm weather (which actually happened in Finland too). Based on the coffee room conversations, it seems that people from Profile have had a good summer as well. Some of us got creative, some spend time enjoying the beautiful finnish nature, there was some sport activities and others (me..) worked through the summer months. I collected here few summer stories from my co-workers…

Marko got crafty and made a new base for his skateboard and have to say – it’s pretty! Not surprise, he spend a lot of his time skateboarding. Sari’s summer, included a lot of golfing. Among other things, she was organizing and took part in the Profile Vehicles 40 anniversary Golf competition in August, which was organized in Iisalmi at the Ahmo golf course.

Juha spent the summer vacation traveling around Finland in shot put and discus throwing competitions and visiting nature. “Immediately from Juhannus (mid summer), we headed towards Tampere for the World Masters Athletics competitions. The results weren’t what we were after, but it was a great trip otherwise. In the summer, you also have to enjoy nature and, of course, picking up mushroom with your dog as a helper. Traditionally, once in the summer we go to the restaurant Laivuri in Pielavesi to feast on pizza, and the same trip was combined with a little outdoor trip to Tervoo. In August, there was a race/holiday trip in Kruunupyy, and on the wonderful sandy beaches of Pietarsaari and Kokkola. Before the end of the vacation, a small yard renovation was done. After that, I was ready to come to work refreshed and relaxed.”

My own summer was spent in slightly different way, in internships and summer job at Profile. I got to do a lot of new things, develop my skills and spend a nice summer with work. With the skills I’ve gathered, it’s good to go back to school to continue developing my skills. Everyone’s summer has been full of its own kind of fun and excitement. The most important thing is was that everyone was able to enjoy their summer exactly the way they liked it

Best regards, Eliisa
