Profile special roof
Profile ambulance roof was designed and manufactured to be optimal for an emergency vehicle. The aerodynamic shape with integrated alarm lights minimize the vehicle fuel consumption and reduce operation costs significantly.
Genios ambulance roof is made of FRP composite (fibre-reinforced plastic). FRP is not only highly firm and safe but also lightweighted module material. The Profile ambulance roof is safety-tested with vehicle maximum load.
Roof is effectively insulated and therefore patient copartment is convenient working environment both on hot and cold conditions.
Profile ambulance roof is installed to the original factory low roof chassis. This makes the basic vehicle more inexpensive compared to the original facotry high version. Profile ambulance roof enables ca. 150 mm lower maximum exterior height than in standard high roof and interior height it still the same in both versions (comply CEN1789).
Integrated alarm and work lights
Many of our ambulance models have integrated alarm and work lights. Integrated lights are beautifully following with the shapes of the basic vehicle design, and are aerodynamically designed. This minimises wind resistance and thus improves fuel consumption. Our integrated lights can be customised in its colour. Leds consume approx. 40% less energy than conventional lighting.
Advanzed integrated Profile air-flow -system prevent fog and moist from condensating inside the lights.
In addition, light system can be equipped with a central power flashers to make the vehicle even better visible from the front.
Profile eCan Vehicle Control
Profile eCan CAN bus system – easy and safe operation
Profile eCan -CAN bus control system and user interface, operated through ouchscreens, is developed specially to be used by ambulance drivers and attendants.
Profile eCan, a new CAN bus system for special vehicles
We have developed the Profile eCan system in collaboration with top experts in the field. With our extensive expertise in CAN bus control systems, we have been able to realise a system that provides seamless support for the work of ambulance crews.
Reliable touchscreens - in all conditions
The touchscreens can be used with gloves on in all conditions, from freezing winter weather to the hot spells of summer. We have also designed new, even more reliable, cables for the CAN bus system. The driver and the attendant have their own touchscreens, designed to suit the specific characteristics of their tasks. Both screens provide important information about the vehicle in a way that is easy to take in at a quick glance and display warnings of risks, such as open doors or an unfastened seat belt.
Ability to monitor all functions with a single glance
Since driving safely and monitoring other traffic are the driver’s main concerns, the driver’s screen displays only the main functions with large touch symbols. Therefore, the driver’s eyes can remain on the road for all but the briefest of moments. Additional functions are easy to access when necessary.
For the attendant, attention to the patient and easy control of the systems in a logically organised manner, the attendant’s screen displays the functions that are the most relevant for patient care. The attendant can focus on the patient while controlling the heating, airconditioning, and lighting systems, along with other functions that ensure efficient care.
Partnerships with chassis manufacturers
Profile Vehicles works in a close cooperation with a number of leading chassis manufacturers. Therefore we are able to offer, at relatively short notice, advanced and innovative bodywork solutions for ambulances or other special vehicles. By virtue of such cooperation, Profile is capable of meeting all the specifications and requirements defined by the chassis manufacturer in bodywork design and structural safety. The customers benefit from the added value afforded by the cooperation, because Profile can maximise the utility value of the entire surface area of the chassis platform to meet customer expectations, while taking into consideration the maximum permitted load-carrying capacity of the chassis in the bodywork design.
Mercedes-Benz VanPartner status provides a prime example of our excellent partnership. It allows access to the technical specifications of the various types of chassis at a very early stage, a fact that facilitates efficient and focused product development. Local Mercedes-Benz import companies and distributors can always trust in Profile and their cooperation with us, since we are an authorised partner of Mercedes-Benz and have access to their full technical support.
Guaranteed quality in everything we do
Profile wants to be the pioneer of high-quality business and quality assurance. This is one of the reasons Profile has updated the (quality) management system of all manufacturing units to the latest version, ISO 9001:2015. Updating the management system is part of the policy according to which all factories of the group have exactly the same processes and procedures in place, and the same party audits all factories.
Quality is also one of the company’s core values. Profile wants to hold on to that, because high quality of work, in the end, benefits everyone—Profile, the customer and the interest groups. With the management system reform, Profile shifts the focus more towards the customer and interest groups. Profile’s personnel are committed to the ISO 9001 quality management standard. Profile’s high-quality processes guarantee that the customer will receive an excellent and high-quality product and equal service. The final quality of the product is guaranteed in a meticulous and extensive assurance process.
Profile also monitors the quality of its subcontractors and vendors. When assessing subcontractors and vendors, the key criterion is the significance of the vendor to Profile’s business. The results of the assessment are discussed with the vendor. Openness and mutual clarity of the rules are a key value in vendor co-operation.
Profile works on the basis of continuous improvement.
The operations are improved through deviation reports, improvement proposals, customer feedback and vendor complaints. In addition, internal, customer and independentparty assessments are processed, improving operations. Whether a suggestion for improvement originates from a production worker or a customer, it will be handled by the company’s management. Each Profile employee is committed to the agreed ways, by which the quality of operations and products is maximised.
Easy to keep clean
All materials, shapes, and surfaces have been designed with hygiene requirements and ease of cleaning in mind.
A smooth, seamless and even design
Profile special vehicle structures doesn’t feature any nooks or crannies where dirt might remain after cleaning. The floor is easy to wipe clean. In the patient compartment, all surfaces are as smooth and even as possible, for easy disinfecting. The number of seams has been minimised, and the few seams required are fully waterproof. We provide also different kind of antibacterial coatings suitable for various different surface materials.
An ergonomic choice for both paramedic and driver
Safety and ergonomics go hand in hand. In Profile special vehicles, the paramedic can focus on treating the patient while the driver focuses on driving.
Vehicle control with one glance
With the Profile eCan can bus system, all functions can be monitored with a single glance, enabling the driver to keep tabs on other traffic and focus on safe driving. Controls, other than related to driving, are done through special user interface for different vehicles uses.
A compact exterior hiding a spacious interior
We always aim at utilizing all space available in the chassis. In our ambulances the patient compartment has enough space to allow for ergonomic and efficient work processes. You can treat the patient without unfastening your seat belt. The touchscreen of Profile CAN bus control system is usually mounted on the paramedic table, or other place close to paramedic seat, at an ergonomic angle. The lighting, heating, and air conditioning have been designed specifically for each model, rendering them extremely efficient.

We focus on safety in all we do. Safety is made by our staff and processes guarantee the high level of it. Knowing that your work environment is safe enables you to focus on the task at hand.
A light but rugged, strong vehicle
Profile products has been designed to be as safe as possible. We have selected all materials, including the upholstery, with both lightness and durability as criteria. All the necessary structures have been tested in line with the requirements of the EN 1789 standard.
Rounded edges and excellent protection for the head
All the edges inside the vehicle are rounded, enabling safe and convenient work procedures. In the patient compartment, special attention has been given to areas that could come into contact with the worker’s or patient head. You can also reach the patient, medical equipment, and storage spaces without unfastening your seat belt.
Good presentation and high visibility
Profile first introduced streamlined, integrated emergency lights in the Genios model. Nowadays the emergency lights are even more visible and also easier to maintain. In addition, the working lights’ efficacy has been raised to a new level throughout the operation area surrounding the ambulance.
