Roots in Finland, eyes on the world
The roots of Profile’s expertise reach back to
the 1950s, when Matti Sollo, one of the founders,
started his career in special vehicles.Our history as a company began in 1982
when Iikori Ky started operations. Iikori soon
became Finland’s biggest ambulance manufacturer,
whose products stood out thanks to their
design.
In 1990, we began to use innovative modules
in our production, the most famous of
these being the roof. In the words of customers,
it gave our products their own ‘profile’. In 1992, we changed our name to ‘Profile’.
